Join us at Café Xocolatl for our first Culture Commentary & Cacao event, where we discuss global narratives, traditions, and lore.

Step into welcoming vibes and a cozy atmosphere at Café Xocolatl, Sacramento’s beloved cacao sanctuary. Sip on a hot or iced cacao, savor a calming cup of kava or tea, or explore an array of handcrafted chocolate delights—each made with intention and inspired by the café’s deep respect for ancient Mesoamerican cacao traditions.

What to Expect

At Café Xocolatl, every sip and bite tells a story. During the evening, Café Xocolatl will share more about their mission and how they use chocolate as a way to uplift voices, celebrate heritage, and bring people together. The Culture Co-Op team will then facilitate an "open mic" storytelling and open culture discussion - bring your own story, share an ancestral tradition or story, or simply bring an open mind & heart.

Chosen as our gathering place for its heart-centered mission, Café Xocolatl embodies ethical sourcing, cultural storytelling, and community connection. From single-origin bars and spiced drinking chocolates to vegan truffles and small-batch confections, you’ll discover a rich tapestry of flavors that celebrate cacao as both a sacred plant and a cultural bridge. This is more than just a café—it’s a space where raw cacao opens hearts and conversations alike.
